This is a poem I received as a gift. The author, Amy, was inspired through focusing her energy on hearing, writing, and sharing her messages in poetry. How cools it that! The reason I am sharing this poem “Julia” with all of you is it brought me to tears with deep appreciation. Julia

Beautiful Julia,
Redheaded angel,
Dances in the light and the colorful, swirling vortexes
And energies,

Beckons others to come along
Down the healing road,
The great Red Road,
Way of the shamans.

Loves to create,
Beauty from pain,
Plants growing out of the
Cracks in the sidewalk,

Fierce warrior woman,
Survivor,
Not a victim,
Says, ‘Come along with me.’

However, with much dismay,
Sometimes wonders,
Why will they not follow me
Along the great healing road?

Not all can be saved,
Those who don’t want to help themselves,
So hard to shine a beacon,
A spotlight

Into an often dark, dense world.
Those who are not awake,
Refuse to open their eyes
To see the light.

She needs a larger audience,
Her gifts to shine bright,
I see her on a stage,
At a podium speaking

A larger audience to reach.
Spread open your wings, beautiful angel,
It’s time to fly,
The world needs your message

So speak it out loudly,
For all to hear,
It will be followed by stunned silence
As people take in your words.

The most beautiful stories
Are borne from pain
And the beauty that emerges
From all the dark places.

Continue to shine
Your beacon of light,
Like the spinning spotlight
Of a lighthouse at sea,

For you never know which wayward traveler
Lost in the current or the waves,
Will see it and use it
As a beacon leading them home.
